What School Districts are currently participating?
There are currently 7 School Districts, 1 BOCES, and 1 other group currently enrolled.
Who is eligible to enroll?
Any employer that is eligible for WEBT can offer the coverage to their group. All the group needs to do is contact The Urman Company at 1-800-640-4459.
Who can enroll?
This is a voluntary program, therefore anyone who wishes to apply can. There is not a waiting period. Once you sign up, you are obligated to stay on the plan for the remainder of the rate guarantee. Changes in coverage can only be made if there is a change in family status.
Will there be an open enrollment?
No. If there is a "Qualifying Event" you may change coverage.
What is the premium at the current time?
Single $11.60
Two Adult $16.34
Family $29.30
Is there a list of Participating Doctors?
Yes. Please call 1-800-640-4459 or 634-5566 and we will be happy to mail you a list of participating doctors for the State of Wyoming. If you need participating doctors for another state, please click on the VSP web site.
If I have Medicare, is it worth having the Vision program?
Medicare only covers medically necessary eye exams. Medicare does not cover a routine eye exam and does not cover frames or glasses except for the first pair after cataract surgery.
If Medicare pays for the eye exam, Vision Service Plan will coordinate with Medicare and should pick up the balance.
