The Wyoming Educators' Benefit Trust is proud to offer to the public educational entities and now to the cities, counties and other publicly funded employers, a health insurance plan especially designed for retirees. This unique plan offers coverage for both under age 65 retirees and over age 65 retirees and is the finest and broadest coverage available on the market today.

The objective of this program is to provide affordable coverage for retirees and to pool all of the retirees together. This allows subsidy from all the entities covered instead of each entity trying to subsidize their own retirees.

We offer the advantage of a direct transfer from the employer's policy with no waiting periods for pre-existing conditions for the retirees. And, credit will be provided for any portion of the deductible that has been met on the entity's coverage. In addition, the premium is withdrawn from their Wyoming Retirement check.

For those retirees age 65 or over, we feel that our program offers several advantages over the A through J Medicare Supplement programs and Medicare D on the market today. The biggest advantage is our excellent prescription drug program.  We have an out of pocket maximum of $1,500 and then WEBT pays 100% for the rest of the calendar year.  Most of the Medicare D supplements have a "doughnut hole" where a retiree could potentially be out of pocket $3,600 and then still pay 5% for their drugs for the rest of the calendar year.  We also allow up to the Reasonable and Customary fee not just the Medicare allowed fee.
